In our continuing series on collection on a Motion for Summary Judgment, it would be helpful to have a title company, if possible, search the relevant counties for any property owned in the name of the judgment debtor. (Alternatively you can search yourself, particularly if the county has a searchable database, as in Maricopa County. However, this can be time consuming and will not be as accurate as a title search.) Monitor any properties owned on a weekly basis and, if it goes under contract, make sure that you or your attorney immediately contacts the title company to ensure it is aware of your judgment.
