I just returned from Chattanooga, TN where AAPRCO’s 2012 Convention was held. After completing my two-year term as President of AAPRCO, I was elected to a new position of Vice President-Legal, and I continue to serve on the board of directors. This year’s convention special ran with 29 private cars over Norfolk Southern territory from Washington, D.C. to Asheville, North Carolina to Chattanooga and back to Washington, D.C. by way of Richmond, Virginia.

Earlier this summer, AAPRCO ran an 11 car special train from Spokane, WA to Kingsgate, B.C. and in British Columbia and Alberta to Nelson, Trail, Cranbrook, Crowsnest, Ft. McLeod and back to the U.S. through Glacier Park to Whitefish, MT by way of three fine railroads-Union Pacific, Canadian Pacific and BNSF. Two rail trips are planned for 2013. If you are interested in more information about 2012 trips and next year’s trips, go to www.aaprco.com.
